Hello everybody,
Soon we will roll our clocks back and like it or not, the cold weather is on it’s way. With that said, it is time to service your automobile. I know with the holidays approaching it is difficult to tend to your automobile needs. Trust me it is better to do it now than have an issue later.
Things that should be checked include the condition of the cooling system, all outside lighting, tires, 4 wheel drive systems, drive belts, brakes, fluids, wiper blades, heat and defrost, and the battery. Also, when was your timing belt last replaced or last tune-up performed?
To all you snow plow people, again the time is now. Service your trucks now before they breakdown while your plowing. SEE the List above and scrutinize all drive shafts, front axle shafts, u-joints, brake lines, steering and suspension. It is not easy to get parts like these during a blizzard. Or a tow truck down an unplowed road. The time is now.
Also, for your home… turn off your outside water, change your furnace filter, tighten any air leaks, change your fire detector batteries and check or replace your fire extinguisher.
